MLS Releases 2018 Home Opener Schedule

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (December 19, 2017) – Major League Soccer has announced the dates, times, and opponents for the 2018 home opener for every team in the league.

MLS Releases 2018 Home Opener Schedule

Per the league press release, the MLS 2018 home openers are as follows:

Saturday, March 3, 2018:
1:00 PM ET – Toronto FC vs. Columbus Crew SC (BMO Field)
3:30 PM ET – Houston Dynamo vs. Atlanta United (BBVA Compass Stadium)
7:30 PM ET – Orlando City vs. D.C. United (Orlando City Stadium)
8:00 PM ET – FC Dallas vs. Real Salt Lake (Toyota Stadium)
9:00 PM ET – Colorado Rapids vs. Chicago Fire (Dick’s Sporting Goods Park)
10:30 PM ET – San Jose Earthquakes vs. Minnesota United (Avaya Stadium)
TBD – Philadelphia Union vs. New England Revolution (Talen Energy Stadium)

Sunday, March 4, 2018:
5:00 PM ET – Seattle Sounders vs. Los Angeles Football Club (CenturyLink Field)
6:00 PM ET – Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Montreal Impact (BC Place)
7:30 PM ET – Sporting KC vs. New York City FC (Children’s Mercy Park)
10:00 PM ET – LA Galaxy vs. Portland Timbers (StubHub Center)

9:00 PM ET – Los Angeles Football Club vs. Seattle Sounders (Banc of California Stadium)

This schedule involves several big matches. The season will open with an Eastern Conference Finals rematch between Toronto and Columbus. The Reds will be celebrating the 2017 MLS Cup Championship before the game. On Sunday, March 4th, Seattle Sounders FC will host Los Angeles FC (their opening game as an MLS expansion team). LAFC will then open Banc of California Stadium on April 29th against those same Seattle Sounders.
