El Tri Calls In The Dos Santos Brothers For Final Hexagonal Matches

CARSON, CA (September 28, 2017) – LA Galaxy players Giovani dos Santos and Jonathan dos Santos have been called up by the Mexican National Team. They will take part in the final two games for the CONCACAF Hexagonal.

El Tri Calls In The Dos Santos Brothers For Final Hexagonal Matches

Jonathan dos Santos has been an active player for Head Coach Juan Carlos Osorio in qualifying. He has played in five games. Giovani dos Santos was a part of the Confederation Cup squad and has played in four of the eight Hexagonal games so far.

Jonathan has 30 caps all time at the international level since 2009. He has started eight games for the LA Galaxy since signing with the club back in late July. Giovani has 100 appearances and 18 goals at the international level. He has made 22 appearances for the Galaxy in 2017, recording six goals and two assists.

The players will join El Tri after the Galaxy’s Saturday match against Real Salt Lake. Mexico will play Trinidad & Tobago at Estadio Alfonso Lastras in San Luis Potosí, Mexico on October 6th. They will then travel to play Honduras at Estadio Olimpico (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) on Tuesday, October 10th.

Mexico has already qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Midfielders (6): Andrés Guardado (Real Betis), Héctor Herrera (Porto FC), Jonathan dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Giovani Dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Erick Gutiérrez (Club Pachuca), Elías Hernández (Club León).

Forwards (7): Hirving Lozano (PSV Eindhoven), Javier Aquino (Tigres), Jesús Corona (Porto FC), Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad), Javier Hernández (West Ham United), Raúl Jiménez (Benfica), Oribe Peralta (Club América).
